Tragedy struck at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu as a passenger plane bound for Pokhara crashed during takeoff. Witnesses reported that the plane veered off the southern end of the runway and flipped over after its wingtip hit the ground. Out of the 19 people on board, only the pilot survived the tragic accident.

An airplane carrying 19 passengers crashed shortly after takeoff from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal. 18 people were killed in the crash, while the pilot miraculously survived.
